On the homepage of Curiosity Lab, this picture illustrates the function of Mohed Nabeel (or just Mo), who is the Founder and Chief Curiosity Officer of Curiosity Lab.
It reminds me of my own plans to build a rocket, when I was 12. It was a short-lived dream. Somewhere, I had read what was needed to make an explosive that could propel the rocket high up into the air. I had not yet given much thought to where it might come down (like Wernher von Braun). I went to a chemist shop down the road with my list of ingredients, as if I were visiting a grocery shop with a recipe for an exotic salad and put my wishlist onto the counter. The man behind turned out to be a real chemist, not just a shop assistant. He saw immediately what the ingredients were for and kicked me out. In hindsight, I am still grateful for that.
So I had to satisfy my curiosity in another way. There was not yet a Curiosity Lab where I could have gone. It did not yet exist. And if it had existed, it would have been too far away. It is in Dubai.
